Ahmet Davutoğlu: Turkey plans to host first meeting of G20 energy ministers
Baku, January 23, AZERTAC
Addressing the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said Turkey, who chairs the G20 this year, was planning to hold first meeting of G20 energy ministers.
According to Mr. Davutoğlu, the meeting will discuss improvement of opportunities to use energy resources, their transportation and work out of the single energy policy.
The Turkish Prime Minister underlined nearly 620 million of people in African countries deprived from the opportunity to use electricity, and stressed the importance for soonest solution of the problem.
According to the forecasts of the International Energy Agency (IEA), the amount of the energy investment should be $66 trillion until 2040.
