Architectural experience of Mumbai, India presented as part of WUF13
Baku, May 21, AZERTAC
A panel discussion on “Building Low-Carbon Housing: From National Policy to Local Action” was held as part of WUF13.
Shankar Deshpande, Chief Investment & Planning officer of the Indian city of Mumbai, noted that the transition to ecological construction is no longer only a climate necessity, but also an economic priority for cities.
According to him, governments should provide incentives for energy-saving technologies, but real change starts at the municipal level, and the experience of Indian megacities is interesting in this regard.
