Austria hosts 21st Session of Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice
Baku, May 3 (AZERTAC). The 21st Session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice has been held in Vienna, Austria.
Deputy Chief of the department on work with law-enforcement bodies of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Gulnara Rasulova, assistant to Prosecutor General Orkhan Isayev, as well as representatives of Azerbaijan`s Justice, National Security, Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs Ministries and State Migration Service participated in the session.
During the session, the participants were updated on progress achieved in migration sphere, especially combating against corruption and terrorism in Azerbaijan.
The session has brought together about 800 delegates from 111 States.
The commission focused on trends in world crime, how the international community is fighting the transnational organized crime threat, corruption - role of private sector - a new initiative being launched by UN Office on Drugs and Crime, violence against migrants, tourism and human trafficking, links between sustainable development and crime.
