Azerbaijan assists in evacuation of Russian citizens

Azerbaijan has currently granted permission for approximately 500 Russian citizens, including businesspeople, to cross the border with Iran.
AZERTAC reported, citing Russian media referencing a source close to the situation, that Baku is providing maximum support to Moscow in organizing the exit of Russians from Iran. Against the backdrop of the sharp escalation in the region, Azerbaijan is assisting the Russian Federation in the evacuation of Russian citizens from Iranian territory.
According to Russia's embassy in Tehran, it is currently possible to leave Iranian territory in the direction of Azerbaijan and Armenia through two border checkpoints.
