AZERBAIJAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT`S DELEGATION ATTENDS CONFERENCE IN ASTANA
Baku, August 30 (AZERTAC). A delegation of Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court led by chairman Farhad Abdullayev visited Astana on August 25-28 to participate in the Conference on “The Constitution - the foundation of democratic development of the State” on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the country`s Constitution.
The conference was opened by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who highly appreciated the international cooperation between constitutional courts of the European and CIS countries.
The event participants heard reports on legal subjects.
Farhad Abdullayev delivered a report on “Ensuring the rule of Constitution in decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
On the sidelines of the conference, Farhad Abdullayev met with his counterparts from European and Asian countries and representatives of international organizations to discuss issues of mutual interest in legal sphere.
Abdullayev also had a meeting in the Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan to discuss the judicial-legal cooperation between the two countries.
Heads of delegations attended the conference were received by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, as well.
