Azerbaijan, Hungary: legal cooperation extending
Baku, November 12 (AZERTAC). During official visit of the President of Hungary Pal Schmitt to Azerbaijan the Ministries of Justice of two countries have signed a Memorandum on Understanding.
The Memo envisioning training of the workers of justice, exchange of experience on activity of the ministries, data exchange connected with legislation improvement, mutual visits of experts, was signed by Hungary`s state minister of justice Robert Repassi and the Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan Fikrat Mammadov.
In the frame of visit, justice ministers of two countries had a meeting on November 11.
Greeting the guest in the Ministry of Justice, Mammadov noted friendly relations and effective cooperation between the two countries with similar history. He underlined importance of the Memorandum aimed at expansion of legal contacts.
The minister gave detailed information on the judicial-legal reforms successfully conducted under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, and also transparency of election of judges, the work on modernization of the infrastructure of judicial bodies.
Having expressed satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan, the guest stated that he became eyewitness of all-round dynamical development of the republic gaining authority in Europe also noting that visit of the head of the Hungarian state to Azerbaijan will give new impetus to strengthening of bilateral relations. Having concerned judicial-legal reforms conducted in the country, R. Repassi expressed confidence for the further development of interaction in the frame of the Memorandum.
Parties had exchange of views on cooperation prospects, exchange of experience, training of judges and lawyers, discussed the questions connected with legal aid on concrete affairs.
