Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan mull prospects of cooperation

Bishkek, January 19 (AZERTAC). In the frame of his visit, SOCAR`s president Rovnag Abdullayev has discussed here expansion of bilateral relations among the two countries with the Premier of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov.

In meeting, Premier Babanov said the two countries have close bilateral relations, which develop intensively.

Rovnag Abdullayev said the current visit of Azerbaijani delegation is being realized in the frame of agreement reached between the heads of state Ilham Aliyev and Almazbek Atambayev in Moscow.

As earlier reported, Azerbaijan State Oil Company SOCAR is to build an oil refinery in Kyrgyzstan. In meeting, construction of the oil refinery was widely discussed. Azerbaijani side is interested in realization of this project, Abdullayev said, and a special group will visit Kyrgyzstan recently to closely be engaged in this deal.

Premier Babanov said the government of Kyrgyzstan will render necessary assistance in investing by Azerbaijan in his county`s economy. “We want Azerbaijan to invest not only in oil sphere, but also other perspective fields”, the Kyrgyz Premier emphasized.
