“Azerbaijan to achieve significant results at UNSC”, American politologist
Baku, November 10 (AZERTAC). According to the American politologist Jeff Sahadeo, director of the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, Carleton University, “Keeping the Caucasian conflicts on the agenda Azerbaijan can achieve significant results at UNSC”. At his opinion, Azerbaijan is a country with strong economy, largest oil and gas reserves in the region what certainly will strengthen its position in the West. Besides, as a result of reforms Azerbaijan is becoming a leader country in the CIS. The analyst said he positively regards effective mediation of the Security Council in settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He said Azerbaijan could raise this question at the UN Security Council what would be in line with the UN Security Council`s resolutions.
“Resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict in the frame of international principles is urgent and necessary”, another American, professor of Military College Strategic Studies Institute Stephan Black told the journalists. According to him, if there is no advance in mediation process, then, the results of negotiations will be unexpected. And that will necessitate military operations.
