AZERBAIJAN, TURKEY SIGN PROTOCOL ON SOCIAL SECURITY COOPERATION
Ankara, May 18 (AZERTAC). Turkey`s Minister of Labor and Social Security Omer Dincer and Azerbaijan`s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Fuzuli Alakbarov have signed a protocol of cooperation in Ankara.
Speaking to the signing ceremony, Alakbarov said the document would contribute to boosting social security cooperation between the two countries.
“Strengthening the population`s social security is among key priorities in the policy of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev.”
“Turkey has rich experience in this regard, and we want to benefit from it. Our ministries have been cooperating since 1998, and now we`re about to embark on new programs and projects,” Alakbarov noted.
Dincer praised “all-round cooperation” between Azerbaijan and Turkey, saying it was “rapidly deepening and strengthening”.
“And the protocol we`ve signed today is another important step towards strengthening our cooperation. A joint commission between our ministries has been convening every year. And this year we`ve thoroughly explored legal aspects of our cooperation.”
“This protocol includes implementing joint projects in the fields of migration, labor protection and exchange of experience and personnel,” the Turkish minister added.
