Azerbaijani delegation meets governor of Astrakhan Province of Russia
Astrakhan, October 24 (AZERTAC). Visiting Azerbaijani delegation led by head of the Socio-Political Department at the Azerbaijani President`s Administration, Ali Hasanov has today met with governor of Astrakhan Province of Russia Alexander Zhilkin here, special correspondent of AZERTAC reports.
At the meeting Zhilkin expressed gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for the special attitude to the Astrakhan region.
Noting successful cooperation in economic field, the governor stressed deepening relations between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan region in humanitarian sphere. He underlined importance of reconstruction of the school number 11 named after Heydar Aliyev by the Azerbaijani government.
Speaking in the meeting, Hasanov conveyed greetings of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and noted projects in Astrakhan supported by the Azerbaijani government “strengthen our friendship and bring our nations together.” He pointed uot erection of the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev, opening of the park named after the great leader and school named after the outstanding politician is an evidence of great respect to the national elader in Astrakhan and Russia.
Also present at the event were Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov, MP Siyavush Novruzov, head of the Baku`s Narimanov District executive authorities Abdin Farzaliyev, chairman of the Astrakhan branch of All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress Adalat Huseynov.
