Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker meets with Speaker of People’s National Assembly of Algeria

As part of her working visit to Serbia, Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, met with Khalida Boufedeche, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova congratulated Khalida Boufedeche on her election to this position and wished her success in her future activities.
The meeting saw an exchange of views on the prospects of the relations between the two friendly countries. Both sides acknowledged opportunities to develop the ties between Azerbaijan and Algeria. They hailed the successful cooperation between the two countries within international organisations.
The parties emphasized the significance of the cooperation between the two countries’ Parliaments, noting that reciprocal visits and meetings at the levels of Speakers and Members of Parliament contribute to expanding bilateral relations.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova commended the successful cooperation between the two countries’ Parliaments within international parliamentary organizations.
The Speaker of the Milli Majlis also shared her thoughts regarding the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network established on the initiative of President of Azerbaijan and having achieved remarkable successes in institutional development and enhancing its international standing under the chairmanship of the Milli Majlis.
The meeting also featured an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
