Azerbaijani President praises Kazakhstan`s position on Nagorno-Karabakh problem

Baku, October 21 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has lauded Kazakhstan`s support of his country`s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The Azerbaijani leader spoke following his meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Almaty.

“President Nursultan Nazarbayev always raises the issue at important meetings with world leaders.”

“Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are brotherly, independent states which build their relations based on partnership and friendship.”

"It is necessary to put an end to the conflict," he continued.

President Aliyev said that the four UN Security Council resolutions calling for the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Azerbaijan had to be finally implemented.

“Azerbaijan is committed to resolving the conflict in line with the norms of international law," he said.
