AZERBAIJAN`S AMBASSADOR MEETS NEW CHAIRMAN OF KOREAN RULING PARTY
Baku, September 8 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani ambassador to Korea Rovshan Jamshidov has met Ahn Sang-su, newly elected chairperson of the country`s ruling party Hannara (Grand National Party).
The diplomat congratulated Ahn Sang-su on his election as chairman.
Jamshidov said official state visits by heads of states in 2006 and 2007 made “great” contribution to developing the bilateral relations.
The ambassador said the Memorandum of Understanding, signed between New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and the Grand National Party in 2010 during the visit of YAP`s Secretary General Ali Ahmadov to Korea, would give an impetus to expanding the cooperation.
Jamshidov and Ahn Sang-su praised the current level of economic relations between the two nations.
The Azerbaijani ambassador raised the chairman`s awareness about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the latest developments over the problem. He also praised “constructive position” of the Azerbaijani leadership on the conflict`s resolution.
