AZERI FM MEETS GEORGIAN, PORTUGAL COUNTERPARTS IN NEW-YORK
Baku, September 21 (AZERTAC). As part of his visit to New-York, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze to discuss the current state of relations between the two countries and energy projects. They also discussed Mammadyarov`s planned visit to Georgia.
Mammadyarov also met Foreign Minister of Portugal Luís Filipe Marques Amado. The talks focused on the bilateral ties, particularly economic cooperation. Mammadyarov stressed the possibility of holding a business forum with the participation of Azerbaijani and Portugal businessmen.
Azerbaijan`s top diplomat also briefed his Portugal counterpart on the ongoing talks to settle the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Mammadyarov also invited Luís Filipe Marques Amado to Azerbaijan. The Portugal minister said that his visit to Azerbaijan is likely to take place during the current year.
