Azeri FM meets Spanish envoy in countries of South Caucasus

Baku, November 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Monday with a delegation led by Spanish Ambassador in the countries of the South Caucasus Maria Victoria Scola Pliego.

Maria Victoria Scola Pliego congratulated and wished successes to Azerbaijan on the occasion of the country`s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2012-2013s.

Spanish ambassador said that Elmar Mammadyarov`s visit to Spain was very fruitful stressing significance of boosting relations between the two countries.

She also expressed her satisfaction on rapid development process going on in Azerbaijan.

Maria Victoria Scola Pliego noted that Spain supports Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity underlining the inadmissibility of the status quo of the conflict.

In his turn, Elmar Mammadyarov provided information on current situation of negotiation process on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

The sides discussed the boosting of cooperation in all spheres between Azerbaijan and Spain and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
