CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION`S CHAIRMAN MEETS HEAD OF OSCE OFFICE
Baku, August 11 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov has met today head of the OSCE Office in Baku Ali Bilge Cankorel.
The talks focused on cooperation between the CEC and OSCE on the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.
Panahov said a program is underway on enlightenment of voters, members of election commissions and other structures which will participate in the electoral process. “From the second half of August this work will be intensified”, he added.
According to him, TV programs on the electoral right will be prepared and broadcast, and the periodical press will publish relevant materials.
Panahov noted professional courses on electoral right will be organized in the near future for members of constituency and precinct election commissions in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev`s order "About Approval of National Action Plan on Protection of Human Rights in the Azerbaijan Republic ".
The sides also discussed the events to be held by the CEC and the Office.
