CZECHIA OPENS AZERBAIJANI EMBASSY
Baku, May 13 (AZERTAC). Czechia has inaugurated its embassy in Azerbaijan, which will be located at the Caspian Plaza business center.
Azeri Deputy FM Araz Azimov and Czech Deputy Prime Minister and FM Jan Kohout cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the diplomatic representation.
Kohout said the opening of the embassy is vivid demonstration of how much importance Czechia attaches to developing relations with Azerbaijan.
“In an aftermath of the global economic crisis Czechia has cut part of spending for opening embassies abroad. But despite this we decided to open our diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.”
Kohout expressed confidence the embassy would play an important role in boosting the two countries` relations, in particular in the fields of politics, economy, culture, education and tourism.
