Dodo Newmann`s 100th Anniversary Titanic memorabilia is studded with diamonds
Baku, January 25 (AZERTAC). On 15th April, 1912, the historic passenger ship, Titanic met with a tragic accident and all the passengers on board were hanging on their lives. Out of all that have been killed during the accident, a few more than 700 survive to this day, based on whom artist Dodo Newmann has created a special edition series of memorabilia. Tilted `the Titanic Commemorative Project`, there will be 2,240 pieces of artistic memorabilia dedicated to each of the passengers on the tragic ship, all embossed with specially cut diamonds and Swarovski crystals to recreate the artistic patterns, depicting what the passengers may have gone through that time. And since this is the 100th anniversary year of the event, this project will hold a special meaning in that regard. Even though a 100 years have passed since the event, it still manages to gather considerable attention and is a source of curiosity as how and what all happened on that fateful day. It is only natural that such an event, which many now accept as one of the most documented tragedies of modern history, gathers interest regarding the memorabilia relating to it. Inspirationalist Dodo Newmann seems to have taken an artistic angle to it all, and created a series of the special edition memorabilia, which will feature artistic patterns done up with precious stones such as Swarovski crystals and diamonds of various shades, dedicating each of them to a passenger on the ship. The patterns which have been released are glimpses of what lays leagues below the almost frozen sea as naturally occurring designs in those parts of the earth and what the passengers ought to have experienced in such a tragic scenario. Along with their art pieces, there will also be an authentication number and booklet from the designer, with dedications to each of the passengers.
