Egyptian Al-Ahram newspaper publishes article entitled “Azerbaijan`s national independence holiday”
Baku, November 4 (AZERTAC). Egypt-based Al-Ahram newspaper has published an article entitled “Azerbaijan`s national independence holiday” by ambassador Shahin Abdullayev.
The ambassador says in the article that Azerbaijan made progress in integrating into the world community after it regained independence in 1991. According to him, Azerbaijan also established mutually beneficial relationship with Islamic countries.
The author touches upon Armenia`s military aggression against Azerbaijan, saying Islamic cultural monuments and mosques were destructed in the occupied territories.
Abdullayev says only national leader Heydar Aliyev saved Azerbaijan from internal and external dangers when he came to power again, and thanks to his wise policy the country started to develop in all spheres. According to the diplomat, successful oil strategy was founded in Azerbaijan with signing the “Contract of the Century” in 1994.
The article goes on to say that the national leader`s policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. The ambassador underlines that Azerbaijan is developing rapidly under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
