On the sidelines of the symposium on energy efficiency and sustainable development held in Baku March 28-30, Natig Aliyev, Minister of Industry and Energy, met with Joanne Disano, director of the Division for Sustainable Development, and Javad Amin-Mansour, vice-chair of the bureau for the fourteenth session of the Commission on Sustainable Development.

The parties primarily focused on the symposium results and stressed that this event will contribute to reduction of the poverty, protection of the environment and sustainable development of the countries. UN representatives expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijan Government for well-organized event.

The symposium brought together the working groups of over 10 countries, representatives of the foreign embassies, international organizations, financial institutions, local and foreign companies, businessmen as well as officials of the appropriate ministries and committees.
