FIRST LADIES OF BULGARIA AND AZERBAIJAN VISIT MUSEUM OF MODERN ART
Baku, June 30 (AZERTAC). First lady of Bulgaria Zorka Parvanova and first lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva today visited the Museum of Modern Art created on the initiative of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva. The Bulgarian guest was informed that a greater part of the exhibits present some 1000 avant-garde works and sculpture of the Azeri artists.
As stated, Azerbaijan`s Museum of Modern Art will join the competition of the European art museums along with the museums from 47 world countries due in 2011.
The guests have familiarized themselves with the masterpieces of Azerbaijan art.
First lady of Bulgaria was deeply impressed by the work of Mehriban Aliyeva presented at the Giz Galasi international art festival in May current year in Baku.
The Western Europe hall of Museum displays the works by Picasso, Dali and Marc Chagall, the ladies were told.
As was informed, over 200 sculptures are exhibited at the Museum.
First Lady of Bulgaria got acquainted with the library of Museum.
