Baku, September 16 (AZERTAC). After Moscow, Geneva, Zurich and Copenhagen, the most expensive cities in Europe are Oslo in Norway, Milan in Italy, London and Paris (both 17) and Bern in Switzerland. Other expensive European cities include Rome, Vienna, St Petersburg Amsterdam, Baku, Dublin, Istanbul, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Madrid and Lisbon. Riga ranks 81 followed by Budapest, Warsaw and Tallinn. The least expensive city in Europe is Tirana in Albania, followed by Macedonia`s Skopje, Sarajevo in Bosnia Herzegovina, Minsk in Belarus and Belfast in the UK.

Tel Aviv is the most expensive city in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Tripoli in Libya is the least expensive Middle Eastern location followed by Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Muscat in Oman.

However, in places like Jeddah and Tripoli, the lack of suitable accommodation for expats combined with strong demand, has pushed costs up.
