HEAD OF GTZ PROJECT MEETS WITH PARLIAMENT’S TOP OFFICIALS
Rolf Knieper, head of the GTZ (German Society for Technical Coopeation) project “Legal Reforms in Transitional States”, Professor of the Bremen University met March 9 with the executives of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) administration and some parliamentarians. Head of the Milli Majlis Administration Safa Mirzoyev told of the parliament’s legislative activity, cooperation with GTZ to improve the Azerbaijan’s legislation and Rolf Knieper’s role in enhancing the relationship between the Milli Majlis (MM) and GTZ.
Professor Rolf Knieper pinpointed the latest steps taken by the Milli Majlis to improve the legislative technique and highly appreciated progressive changes Milli Majlis made in the Civil Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Administrative Offence Code.
Then, the discussions at the meeting revolved around the improvement of legislative technique and GTZ-initiated revision of the Civil Code’s paragraphs related to the natural and juridical persons.
Deputy MM speaker Bahar Muradova was present at the meeting as well.
