Head of the Muslims of the Caucasus visits Kazan
Moscow, December 16 (AZERTAC). Co-chair of the Inter-Religious Council of CIS Moslems, Head of the Caucasus Muslims Clerical Office (CMCO) Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade paid a working visit to Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
During the visit, A. Pashazade took part at the conference titled “Islam against terrorism: potential of threat to society and state, search of means of countermeasures against extremism”.
The Conference organized by the Moslems Clerical Office of Tatarstan at support of charity fund of Islamic culture, education and science, was held on December 15. The goal of action is to define the role and place of terrorism using religious factor, expose destructive activity at the early stages, objective assessment of the impact of terrorism on socio-political, economic and moral-spiritual processes in the life of country and search of preventive measures.
Head of the Caucasus Muslims Clerical Office conveyed greetings and best wishes of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev to the conferees, the people of Tatarstan. Then, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade made a large speech speaking about the state policy of Azerbaijan, situation of the Republic, known for its tolerance.
The same day, CMCO chairman met with the chairman of the Moslems Clerical Office of Tatarstan Ildus Hazrat Faizov.
On the following day, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade met with the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Today Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade met with the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Kazan.
