Iran’s Assembly of Experts' building targeted by 'Israeli strike'

A building linked to Iran’s influential Assembly of Experts was targeted Tuesday in an "Israeli strike," Anadolu Agency reported citing the Iranian and Israeli media.
Iran’s Press TV said the old building of the Assembly of Experts in Qom was targeted by US-Israeli airstrikes.
Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency reported that the building attacked in Qom was an old auxiliary structure that was not used for official meetings.
A senior Israeli official told Israel’s public broadcaster KAN that the army attacked Iran's Council of Experts “while they were convening to choose a new supreme leader.”
No casualties have been reported as of yet.
The Assembly of Experts, an influential body of jurists and clerics, is tasked with selecting Iran’s highest political and religious authority.
Iran on Sunday confirmed the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several top officials in Israeli and US attacks on the country.
