LITHUANIA KEEN IN DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONS WITH AZERBAIJAN
Chairman of the Azerbaijan Parliament congratulated the Ambassador with new appointment and wished success in his activity. Speaking of history of the links between two countries Mr. Asadov expressed hope for further development of them in the years ahead. He also updated the guest on socio-economic reforms ongoing in the country, informed about the accomplishments in realization of energy and transport projects in the Republic.
Ambassador Viatautas Nauduzas expressed gratitude for sincere reception and kind words, underlining that Lithuania correctly estimates Azerbaijan’s role in region and his country is keen in development of relations with Azerbaijan. According to him, the president of Lithuania will visit Azerbaijan shortly and this visit will open a new phase in relations of two countries.
The parties had comprehensive exchange of views on prospects of inter-parliamentary relations, the role of Azerbaijan community in Lithuania and of Lithuanians in Azerbaijan, and other issues of mutual interest.
