The National Confederation of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations (AEC) and Spanish Association of Decorative Lighting organized on March 23 in Baku a business forum for local and visiting Spanish businessmen engaged in production of furniture and lighting systems. President of AEC Alakbar Mammadov outlined the current state of the Azerbaijan-Spain economic relations noting that the trade turnover between the two countries is rather low. “Not a single document covering economic sphere has been signed to date between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Kingdom of Spain”, he stressed.

Development of Azerbaijan-Spanish economic relations will promote both expansion of business relations between the two countries’ entrepreneurs, and attraction of foreign investments to the republic, Mr. Mammadov added. Mrs. Marta Fabuel Esteve, representative of Spanish Association of Decorative Lighting stressed the significance of this business-forum and necessity of conducting the similar arrangements in the future.
