Los-Angeles District Management Council awards former Azerbaijani Consul General

Baku, November 24 (AZERTAC). The Los-Angeles District Management Council awarded an honorary diploma to Elin Suleymanov, who has ended his mission as Azerbaijani Consul General in this city.

The members of the Council said Azerbaijan`s diplomatic representative office, which opened in Los-Angeles in 2006, made a great contribution to deepening of Azerbaijan-USA relations.

Chairman of the Council Michael Antonovich stressed a role of the Azerbaijani Consulate General in making Azerbaijani community active in California State, establishing relations with Jewish community and implementing joint projects with Beverly Hills city.

A series of concerts dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan regaining independence organized jointly with Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism gave the Californian community an opportunity to closely familiarize with a rich history and culture of the country.

The members of the Council wished Elin Suleymanov success as newly appointed ambassador of Azerbaijan to USA.
