MINSK HOSTS CIS PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVES COUNCIL`S SESSION
Baku, August 18 (AZERTAC). A regular session of the CIS Council of Permanent Representatives to charter and other bodies of the Commonwealth took place in Minsk, Belarus.
The participants discussed the draft Statement of the CIS Heads of State in connection with the 20th anniversary of the Commonwealth. The document was developed within the Action Plan devoted to this event which had been approved by the decision of the CIS Prime Ministers council as of May 21, 2010.
The participants decided to continue working in this direction and submitting the draft Statement for consideration of the Presidents at the jubilee summit in December 2010.
Besides, the meeting focused on the draft Recommendations on preparation and organization of the sessions of the Heads of State, the Council of Prime Ministers, the Foreign Ministers Council and the CIS Economic Council. The document was elaborated for ensuring efficient and clear interaction of the CIS Executive Committee with the authorities and administration of a member country hosting the session for solution of certain organizational and technical problems.
The meeting participants approved the draft document and took a decision to send it to the foreign offices of the CIS for consideration and propositions. After then the text of the document will be checked and completed by the experts. The final version of the document will be submitted for the consideration of the Council of Foreign Ministers.
The permanent representatives also discussed the agendas of the forthcoming regular sessions of the CIS Prime Ministers Council scheduled for November 19, 2010, in Saint Petersburg and the meetings of the Foreign Ministers Council scheduled for December 9, 2010, Moscow and the Council of the CIS Heads of State on December 10, 2010, in Moscow.
