MONUMENT TO NATIONAL LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV TO BE ERECTED IN ASTRAKHAN
Baku, August 30 (AZERTAC). The Azeri delegation led by Abdin Farzaliyev, chief of executive power of the Narimanov district of Baku, is on the visit to Astrakhan. The guests will attend the ceremonies on the occasion of the 140th birthday of Nariman Narimanov, outstanding Azeri public man, writer and politician. As part of the visit Abdin Farzaliyev met Aleksandr Zhilkin, Governor of the Astrakhan region. “I would like to thank you for the consistent and proactive work towards the development of our friendly relations”, A. Zhilkin said at the meeting. He has emphasized that presently Astrakhan region and Azerbaijan are associated with many projects including Astrakhan-Baku air flight, which was renewed in 2009, construction of transport terminal, scheduled for 2010 and the erection of a monument to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. The monument will be built at the embankment, Privolzhskiy creek. The Azeri contractor, as an initiator, will turn this territory into the best park in Astrakhan. The monument will be reportedly inaugurated this year.
