Morocco is interested in expansion of relations with Azerbaijan
Baku, November 16 (AZERTAC). Visiting Moroccan Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Latifa Akharbach has today met with the first vice speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov.
Asgarov briefed the Moroccan official on Azerbaijan`s economic achievements and dynamic development. He pointed out existence of great potential to expand relations between the two countries and expressed hope such visits would contribute to boosting ties.
First vice-speaker informed the guest on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and thanked Moroccan government for their support to Azerbaijan`s position on conflict.
Asgarov congratulated Morocco on its election as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and highlighted that the two countries will efficiently cooperate further within this organization.
In turn, Moroccan official also congratulated Azerbaijan on its election as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and described it as a victory of country`s foreign policy.
Akharbach stressed that Morocco is interested in development of relations with Azerbaijan.
Moroccan official underlined her country supports settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the bases of norms and principles of international law and within the framework of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
