New computer center financed by the China Oil Academy (COA) was opened at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (ASOA). In his opening remarks, Rector of the Oil Academy, Prof. Siyavush Garayev noted that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev attaches a great importance to strengthening of the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and China People’s Republic. He dwelt on the significant role the computer technology plays in the modern institutions and training of high quality specialists.Ambassador of the China People’s Republic to Baku Chzhan Siun and Vice-president of the China Oil University Tong Khin Gua spoke of the bilateral links between the two countries. The orators expressed their confidence that the Azerbaijani and Chinese students would efficiently benefit from the new computer center.Deputy education Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Gasimov and others congratulated the participants of the event and wished them every success.Chan Sai Khua, the Chinese student of the preliminary courses of the Azerbaijan Oil Academy expressed his gratitude for provided conditions. Then, the participants familiarized with the computer center facilities.
