OFFICIALS FROM 40 AFRICAN STATES GATHER IN TEHRAN
Baku, September 14 (AZERTAC). High-ranking officials from different African states have gathered in Tehran to discuss ways to boost cooperation between Iran and the African continent.
The government and private sector officials from more than 40 African states attend the two- day conference, dubbed as `Iran-Africa Co-Thinking` Conference.
African ministers of foreign affairs, industries, health and education participate in the meeting to discuss ways of expanding mutual cooperation and ties.
Iran believes that Africa is the land of opportunities, the official told “IRNA” news agency, urging Iranian companies to become familiar with the existing great potentials in that continent so that they could play an active role in trade and economic activities there.
