Oman says no group has claimed latest attacks on country, investigation ongoing

Oman’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday said that the attacks targeting the country have not been claimed by any party, adding that competent authorities are still investigating their source and motives, Anadolu Agency reports.
In a statement, the ministry described the attacks as “treacherous and cowardly,” while reaffirming the Sultanate’s condemnation of the ongoing war and all forms of violence and military targeting across the region.
It stressed that Oman remains committed to its long-standing policy of “active neutrality,” calling for peace, security, and stability for all countries in the region.
The ministry also urged an end to the ongoing conflict and a return to dialogue and diplomacy to address the “root causes” of tensions, emphasizing the need to safeguard regional stability and the well-being of its people.
On Saturday, two drones targeted Oman’s Salalah Port, injuring one expatriate worker and inflicting “limited damage” to one of the cranes at the facility, according to Oman News Agency.
In a statement, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters said it “targeted a US vessel at a distance from the Port of Salalah in Oman.”
Iran respects Oman’s national sovereignty, the statement said.
