“Our Homes, Our Future”: Children and Youth Assembly convenes within WUF13

As part of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), the Children and Youth Assembly was held under the theme “Our homes, our future: Child-centred solutions and youth-led action for liveable cities.”
The event brought together representatives of the United Nations, officials from international organizations, youth leaders, urban planning experts, and young participants from various countries.
Discussions focused on the development of safe, inclusive, and sustainable urban environments for children and young people, increasing youth participation in urbanization processes, the impact of climate change on urban life, and broader social inclusion issues.
Participants exchanged experiences on urban challenges and explored opportunities for cooperation and joint initiatives aimed at practical solutions.
The main objective of the Assembly is to promote the active participation of children and youth in urban planning processes and to integrate their ideas and initiatives into the global urban agenda as a key component.
