PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES CREDENTIALS FROM LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR
The Lithuanian diplomat said he was pleased to take up the duties of Ambassador to Azerbaijan in the light of developing relations between the two countries. He noted that the Azerbaijani community in Lithuania is actively involved in socio-political life of his country, adding that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Lithuania will be further developed.
President Ilham Aliyev described the existing cooperation between the two countries as successful, and recalled with pleasure his meetings with Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus. The Head of State said that Azerbaijan-Lithuania cooperation is expanding both in bilateral format and within international organizations. He finally expressed confidence that relations between the two countries will be further developed and strengthened.
