REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER HOSTS SEMINAR TO GAIN KOREAN EXPERIENCE
Speaking at the opening ceremony chairman of the State Customs Committee, lieutenant general Aydin Aliyev touched upon current Azerbaijan-Korea ties and noted that the Days of Culture and Cinematograph of the Korean Republic recently staged in Azerbaijan gave a kick-start to the current bilateral relations.
Chairman of the State Customs Committee said strengthening political-economic and cultural ties with the Korean Republic had a positive impact on the customs relations as well, noting that the seminar can be described as another step towards developing cooperation between customs services of the two states.
Aydin Aliyev said that the
Committee is following up the suggestions great leader Heydar Aliyev made to bring the customs system in line with international standards, in particular, those related to application of information technologies and human capacity building.
Director for research and technologies of the Korean Customs Service Baik Hyun Chu expressed gratitude for organizing event and stressed a need to apply information and communication technologies (ICT). According to the director, ICT is a momentum of society’s everyday life.
The visitor expressed confidence that cooperation between customs services of Korea and Azerbaijan will further develop and the seminar will be mutually beneficial for both parties.
Then, Korean specialists used slides to make a presentation about how they apply ICT in everyday work.
The seminar will end April 9.
