Saudi Arabian Minister praises Azerbaijan’s urban development progress

“I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to President Ilham Aliyev for the high-level hospitality, and to the people of Azerbaijan for their warm and respectful reception. It is entirely expected to experience such hospitality and respect from such a great nation,” Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing of Saudi Arabia, who is participating in the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13), told AZERTAC.
The minister praised Azerbaijan’s urban development, pointing to similarities between “Green Baku” and Saudi Arabia’s “Green Saudi” initiative. He highlighted Azerbaijan’s emphasis on improving quality of life and said the two countries are closely aligned in their development approaches. He also expressed hope for stronger cooperation and partnership in the future.
The Saudi Minister of Municipalities and Housing added: “I wish the exhibition success and hope that many new agreements will soon be signed between Saudi and Azerbaijani private companies.”
