SOCAR Georgia petroleum, largest taxpayer among oil companies in Georgia
Baku, February 4 (AZERTAC). SOCAR Georgia petroleum is undisputed leader in the "largest tax payer in the sector of petroleum products" category for several years.
The company has again been recognized a largest taxpayer among the oil companies in Georgia. SOCAR Georgia petroleum paid almost 197.633 million lari ($1 = 1.67 lari) in the state budget of Georgia in 2011.
The company has brought almost 775, 44 million lari to the state budget since 2006.
Award ceremony of major taxpayers among oil companies was held in Tbilisi hotel Courtyard Marriott on Friday. Winners in 10 categories were determined.
Director General of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mahir Mammadov and director of SOCAR Georgia petroleum David Zubitashvili participated in the event.
SOCAR Georgia petroleum was also recognized as the largest investor of 2011.
Investments of SOCAR Georgia petroleum amounted to 53.423 million lari. The company is an owner of a large network of petrol stations in Georgia and also invested in two major projects - the construction of multifunctional complex "SOCAR - Goodwill" on the Tbilisi-Batumi highway and the construction of "SOCAR - McDonald’s" centers in Batumi and Marneuli.
During the last 7 years SOCAR Georgia petroleum invested more than 183.92 million lari in Georgian market.
