SOCAR vice-president meets MEPs in Baku

Baku, September 1 (AZERTAC). Members of the European Parliament visited Friday the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) where they met vice-president Elshad Nasirov.

The SOCAR vice-president praised cooperation between Azerbaijan and European Union, saying it would further expand.

Nasirov briefed the MEPs on the energy projects carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years. He said these projects, initiated by Azerbaijan, play a significant role in Europe`s energy security.

MEP from Slovakia Boris Zala described cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU as fruitful.

The MEPs said at the meeting that they would use information about Azerbaijan`s developing economy in their future activities.
