STREET IN ROMANIA NAMED AFTER AZERBAIJANI SCIENTIST
Baku, August 12 (AZERTAC). One of the central streets of Techirghiol town in Constanta city of Romania was named after eminent Azerbaijani scientist, professor Bakir Chobanzade with support of Azerbaijan`s Embassy to Romania and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Mayor of Techirghiol town Adrian Stan briefed on the scientist`s creative activity adding the Turkish and Tatar communities have hailed this initiative. He said a bust will be also erected in a near future.
Member of Tatar community in Romanian Parliament Aledin Amet said such initiative will be also carried out in Madjidie city, where representatives of Turkish and Tatar communities closely reside.
On rapidly developing Romanian-Azerbaijani relations, official of Azerbaijani Embassy Fahri Karimli expressed his gratitude to Techirghiol municipality and the Romanian government for perpetuation the scientist`s memory.
