SYMPOSIUM ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT TO BE HELD IN BAKU

Under the auspices of the UN commission on sustainable development, a symposium entitled “Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development” will take place March 28-30 in Baku, Ministry of Industry and Energy said. President Ilham Aliyev personally encouraged that Baku hosts this prestigious event.

The symposium will be organized by the commission on sustainable development of the UN Department of Social and Economic Affairs and Azerbaijani Ministry of Industry and Energy.

The event participants will hear the reports on the oil and gas producing technologies used in the Caspian littoral states and energy system accomplishments as well as long-term development.

The symposium attendees will see Baku sights and historical monuments and visit Sangachal terminal.

The symposium will adopt a Baku declaration last day.
