Turkey, Azerbaijan sign contract on Trans-Anatolian pipeline consortium
Ankara, December 26 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s minister of industry and energy Natig Aliyev and Turkey`s energy and natural resources minister Taner Yildiz have signed here a contract on consortium for construction of Trans-Anatolian pipeline for delivery of Azerbaijani natural gas to Turkey and Europe.
Signing of the contract on consortium was agreed on October 25 current year in Izmir in the frame of Shahdeniz-2 project, Natig Aliyev told journalists. The 7-billion Euro worth Trans Anatolian pipeline`s annual capacity averages 16 billion cubic meters. Coming years will see this figure to reach 24 billion cubic meters annually.
Mr. Tanr Yildiz said in Trans Anatolian consortium SOCAR owns 80 percent, while TPAO (Turkey) and BOTAS - 20 percent.
In near future, other companies are expected to join the consortium as well.
