UN-Habitat representative: Azerbaijan can play important role in urban development
Baku, May 18, AZERTAC
The World Urban Forum is an important platform for countries to come together and share experiences, Naomi Hoogervorst, representative of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), told AZERTAC during the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.
According to her, WUF13 brings together national governments, municipal leaders, researchers, and private sector representatives to discuss solutions to existing urban challenges.
Naomi Hoogenvorst emphasized that Azerbaijan can play an important role in urban development and urbanization management.
"It is important to share experiences and develop infrastructure in Baku and other cities. The goal is to strengthen sustainable urban development," she noted.
