UNDP Deputy Director: We must regard housing as a social function
Baku, May 19, AZERTAC
“‘In some countries, investments are directed only toward high-income housing, leaving displaced communities and small towns behind,’ said Francine Pickup, UNDP Deputy Director of the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support, during a session titled ‘The Social and Economic Power of Housing: How Can Housing Drive Prosperity While Delivering Equity for All?’ held as part of WUF13.
‘We must regard housing as a social function and a matter of critical importance. Housing provides access to essential services, including healthcare and employment opportunities,’ Francine Pickup said.”
