U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE DISCUSSES TURKEY
Baku, August 14 (AZERTAC). U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton held a policy discussion on Turkey at the State Department on Thursday.
Assistant Secretary of State Jack Lew, Director of Policy Planning for State Department Anne-Marie Slaughter and Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasian affairs Philip Gordon attended the in-house policy discussion which was closed to the press.
U.S. State Department spokesman Mark Toner told the daily press briefing that it was a long-scheduled meeting.
Toner who refused to delve into details said it was an in-depth meeting where important policy issues on Turkey were discussed.
