WHO CONFIRMS BIRD FLU INFECTION IN AZERBAIJAN

Press service of Ministry of Health reported that tests taken from residents of Salyan and Terter provinces were positive for H5N1. The tests were held at the Hill-Mill reference laboratory of WHO in London.

Bird flu virus was found out in 7 people. Five of them have already dead. The 15-years old Ulker Asgerova, is still getting medical treatment in children’s clinical hospital No 2 in Baku.

Experts of Ministry of Health hold works jointly with experts of WHO.
