Shooting of Molla Nasreddin feature film enters its final stage in Kazakhstan

The final stage of filming for the international feature film "Molla Nasreddin – Friend of My Hard Days" has started in Kazakhstan. The joint project brought together cinematographers from six Turkic countries under the direction of Azerbaijani People's Artist Vagif Mustafayev.
The production team has previously filmed in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The final phase will take place in the Almaty Region and the cities of Almaty and Turkistan, with some scenes to be filmed at the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.
Khoja Nasreddin is portrayed by Sagizbay Karabalin, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan.
The project was initiated in 2023 at the 40th meeting of the TÜRKSOY Permanent Council in Shusha.
