SOCAR’s revenues amounted to AZN 86.3 billion in 2025

Throughout 2025, global energy markets were shaped by geopolitical uncertainties, the growing importance of energy security, and increasing demand for natural gas. In line with its strategic development priorities, SOCAR continued to expand its international asset portfolio, further strengthened its position across the energy value chain, and successfully carried out its operations through measures aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing costs.
During 2025, SOCAR continued to pursue strategically important investment and business transactions. These included the acquisition of an 80% interest in the Bahar and Gum-Deniz fields, the acquisition of a 10% effective interest in the Tamar gas field located in the Mediterranean Sea offshore Israel, the development of new petrochemical and energy projects in Türkiye, strategic investments in digital infrastructure and petrochemicals, as well as the expansion of gas exports and international partnerships.
In 2025, SOCAR’s revenues amounted to AZN 86.3 billion, while gross profit stood at AZN 12.6 billion. Profit from operating activities increased by 80% compared to the previous period, reaching AZN 5.2 billion, while net profit amounted to approximately AZN 3.0 billion. SOCAR’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) amounted to AZN 10.9 billion in 2025, representing a 26% increase compared to 2024. The majority of SOCAR’s revenues were generated from the sales of crude oil, petroleum and chemical products, and natural gas.

It should be noted that the increase in profit from operating activities also had a positive impact on cash flows. Accordingly, cash flows from operating activities increased by 136%.
In addition to being the country’s strategic energy company, SOCAR ranks first as the largest taxpayer to the state budget and the largest employer in Azerbaijan. Taxes paid by SOCAR make a significant contribution to the country’s socio-economic development, while the Company’s large-scale investment and social projects contribute both to economic diversification and human capital development.
In 2025, SOCAR made payments to the State totaling AZN 3.8 billion in the form of dividends, distributions to the State, taxes, and social expenditures. Overall, during 2021–2025, SOCAR made a total of AZN 15.9 billion in such payments to the State. At the same time, during the same 2021–2025 period, the State invested a total of AZN 1.6 billion in SOCAR.

It should also be noted that SOCAR’s consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2025, received an unmodified (clean) audit opinion from the internationally renowned audit firm Ernst & Young Holdings (CIS) B.V.
