Landmine blast injures one in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar district

A mine incident occurred in the village of Sariyel village of the liberated Kalbajar district, on August 13,” the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said in a joint statement.
According to the statement, Suleymanov Kamran Shukur oglu, a resident of the Gaynag village of Tartar district, born in 1953, sustained an injury in a landmine explosion, while grazing animals in the pasture area that has not yet been cleared of mines.
“The incident is currently under investigation by the Kalbajar district prosecutor’s office,” the statement said.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Prosecutor's Office have urged citizens to adhere to safety rules, heed mine warning signs, and avoid unfamiliar areas.
